Help us make menopause part of everyday conversation
"Many women have suffered before us and I just don't want people to continue that, so the more of us that can talk the better." - Dame Kelly Holmes
The perimenopause and menopause will affect nearly all women at some point in their lives.
Sadly, many people still do not feel comfortable talking to others about the menopause, not even with close friends and family. Some may not even be aware they’re approaching or going through the menopause due to a lack of awareness.
We want to make sure all women are able to get the help and support they need. This starts with normalising conversations about the menopause.
To help us do this, our Let’s #ChatMenopause campaign features films of inspiring women sharing their experiences.
We would love you to join the conversation and share your own story on social media using the hashtag, #ChatMenopause.

I was already struggling with my mental health, and it was difficult to know how much of it was because of the menopause." - Dame Kelly Holmes
Double Olympic champion, Dame Kelly Holmes opened up about her experience going through the menopause and the impact it had on her mental health in a chat with author Rosie Nixon, who shared her experience of navigating perimenopause.

For some women, working with symptoms of the menopause can prove difficult and lead to reduced hours, passing up promotions or leaving their job altogether. This doesn't work for women, and it doesn't work for businesses, who lose experienced and valued colleagues.
